Order of Ceremony
- THEi Graduation Ceremony will be held on 22, 25 and 26 November 2025 (Saturday, Tuesday and Wednesday) at the Multi-Purpose Hall in THEi Chai Wan Campus (Address: 133 Shing Tai Road, Chai Wan, Hong Kong).
- Graduands of the same programme will sit together.
- Graduands and Guests will be admitted to the Hall by admission ticket.
Before the Ceremony
- The Waiting Areas for your guests are located at the Learning Commons on 1/F (S103). Guests should be required to enter the Hall 20 minutes before the Ceremony starts (i.e. 9:40 a.m. at the 1st session on 22 November 2025 (Saturday), 2:40 p.m. at the 2nd session on 25 November 2025 (Tuesday) and 9:40 a.m. at the 3rd session on 26 November 2025 (Wednesday)) .
- Graduands of the same programme will be arranged to sit together.
Points to Note
- Children under the age of 4 will not be admitted.
- Graduands and guests who arrive late must wait outside the Hall or designated venues until the National Anthem is played and Stage Party have been seated on stage.
- Late comers will only be allowed to sit in the designated zone of the venue.
- To avoid undue disturbances, THEi reserves the right to determine the time and manner to exit.
- Eating and smoking are not allowed at the venues.
During the Ceremony
- Stay quiet during the ceremony and switch the phone to silent mode.
- Do not leave your seats during the ceremony.
Order of Ceremony
The Ceremony will commence with a procession of the Ceremony Officials and Stage Party.
The National Anthem will be played when the Officiating Chair and Stage Party have assembled on the stage.
After the welcoming address and guest speech, Graduands of the respective programmes will be invited to come to the stage for the conferment of awards.
The Graduand Representative will deliver a vote of thanks when all the awards have been conferred.
Certificate for the Honorary Professor, Li Ning Hon Endowed Professor in Chinese Medicine, THEi Staff Awards and Best Department Poster Awards from Student Applied Research Presentations 2025, will be presented.
After the closing remarks, the Ceremony will close.
The duration of the Ceremony will be about three hours.
After the Ceremony
- At the end of the Ceremony, all participants should leave the Ceremony venues separately and avoid gathering together.
- The Ceremony venues will be cleaned and disinfected after end of each session.
Transport
- Public transport is recommended.
- Parking is not available at THEi.
- Shuttle bus service between Heng Fa Cheun MTR station (Exit A) and THEi Chai Wan Campus will be available for the Graduands and their guests.

A. Use of E-tickets (With QR Code) for Graduands
- For Graduands who have already confirmed their attendance to THEi Graduation Ceremony 2025, an E-ticket (with QR code) will be sent to your personal email account by early November 2025.
- The E-ticket is non-transferrable and for admission of registered gradaunds only.
- Please ensure you have the E-ticket for entering the Hall.
- The duty staff will scan the QR code on the E-Ticket for your admission to the Hall.

B. Printed Admission Ticket for Guests
- Guest ticket(s) in printed format will be sent to your residential address by mail in November 2025. If you have changed your residential address, please contact the Registry of THEi at 3890 8000 or via email: thei-reg@thei.edu.hk.
- Guest seats will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. The Institute may arrange some of the guests to be seated in other venues of THEi Chai Wan campus with livestream broadcasting if the Hall is full.

Graduation Fee
Graduands who will attend the Ceremony are required to pay a graduation fee of HK$400. The full amount or the balance of the caution money paid during your first registration with THEi will be used to off-set this graduation fee. Where the balance is insufficient to off-set the entire graduation fee HK$400, the Graduand will be contacted individually to pay the difference before admission tickets for the Ceremony will be issued.
The graduation fee of HK$400 is also applicable to part-time Graduands who wish to attend the Graduation Ceremony.
No refund of the graduation fee will be made to Graduands who choose not to attend the Ceremony regardless of whether they have registered their attendance via THEi’s website.

- During the Ceremony, you are required to wear an academic gown which is available for hire / purchase from the designated vendor, Tick Your Gown Limited (TYG).

- A 24-hour graduation gown return booth will also be available for gown returns outside the Fo Tan and Hung Hom offices. Graduands using the 24-hour booth service will be required to do the registration and complete the registration form by themselves there. After the graduation gown is returned, deposit paid will be fully refunded (if no late charge or damages to the gown is confirmed) within 30 working days. For location details of the 24-hour gown return booth, please refer to TYG’s website at https://www.tyg.hk/contact. Enquiries about the gowns returning to TYG should be directed to TYG at tel. 5166 3292.
- Besides, TYG will also request Graduands to pay for the gowns that are damaged during the hiring period. Graduands are therefore reminded to check the gown carefully during the hiring process and take good care of the gowns they hire, i.e. please do not throw your rented academic cap into the air for photo taking which might cause damages (especially the corners) of the mortar board. For details of the gown hire and / or purchase service, please refer to the THEi Academic Gown .
- You may authorize a representative to hire / purchase the academic gown on your behalf. Please download the Letter of Authorisation.
- Graduands are advised to wear semi-formal attire with the academic gown to attend the Ceremony. Please refer to the Recommended Dress Code for the Graduation Ceremony for details.

Transportation & Shuttle Bus Service
Transport
Shuttle bus service between Heng Fa Cheun MTR station (Exit A) and THEi Chai Wan Campus will be arranged on the Ceremony days.
Public transport is recommended, there are two minibuses, 62 and 62A or a bus 85, running between Heng Fa Chuen MTR station at Exit A and THEi Chai Wan campus.
Parking is not available at THEi Chai Wan Campus.

Shuttle bus service
- Shuttle bus service between Heng Fa Cheun MTR station (Exit A1) and THEi Chai Wan campus will be arranged for the Graduands and their guests on 22, 25 and 26 November 2025 (Saturday, Tuesday and Wednesday).
- Free Shuttle bus departs every 15 minutes from Heng Fa Chuen MTR Exit A1 or THEi (Chai Wan) Open Car Park. The below schedule is for reference only. No prior notice will be provided for any changes.

Issuance of Admission Ticket
E-Tickets for Graduands and Guests
Graduands who have confirmed their attendance to THEi Graduation Ceremony 2026 will receive an E-ticket with a QR code via their personal email account in early November 2026.
- Each graduand will receive his/her own e-ticket along with guest ticket(s) in the same email.
- All tickets include unique QR codes for scanning at the entrance for admission.
- Tickets are non-transferable and valid only for the registered graduand and their invited guests.

Entry Guidelines
- All attendees must present a valid E-ticket with valid QR code (either printed copy or displayed on mobile device) for admission.
- Duty staff will scan the QR code at the entrance of the Multipurpose Hall.
- Guest seats will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. If the Hall reaches full capacity, guests will be directed to designated areas within THEi Chai Wan campus with livestream broadcasting of the ceremony.

Rehearsal
To ensure a smooth and memorable experience for all Graduands, a rehearsal will be held 45 minutes prior to the commencement of each ceremony session.

All Graduands MUST attend the rehearsal prior to the commencement of the Graduation Ceremony. - The Ceremony will commence with a procession of the Ceremony Officials and Stage Party.
- The National Anthem will be played when the Officiating Chair and Stage Party have assembled on the stage.
- After the welcoming address and guest speech, Graduands of the respective programmes will be invited to come to the stage for the conferment of awards.
- The Graduand Representative will deliver a vote of thanks when all the awards have been conferred.
- Certificate for the Honorary Professor, President’s List, THEi Staff Awards, and Best Department Poster Awards from Student Applied Research Presentations 2026, will be presented in respective session(s).
- After the closing remarks, the Ceremony will close.
After the Ceremony
- At the end of the Ceremony, all participants should leave the Ceremony venues in an orderly manner following the instructions on site.
- The Ceremony venues will be cleaned after the end of each session.
Graduation Fee
Graduands who will attend the Ceremony are required to pay a graduation fee of HK$400. The full amount or the balance of the caution money paid during your first registration with THEi will be used to off-set this graduation fee. The Graduand will only be contacted individually to pay the difference before the issuance of admission tickets for the Ceremony if the balance is insufficient to off-set the entire graduation fee HK$400.
The graduation fee of HK$400 is also applicable to part-time Graduands who wish to attend the Graduation Ceremony.
No refund of the graduation fee will be made to Graduands who choose not to attend the Ceremony regardless of whether they have registered their attendance via THEi’s website.

Academic Gowns
- During the Ceremony, you are required to wear an academic gown which is available for hiring / purchasing from the designated vendor, Tick Your Gown Limited (TYG).
- Graduands are advised to dress in semi-formal attire under the academic gown . Please refer to the Recommended Dress Code for the Graduation Ceremony for the recommended dress code to attend the Ceremony.
- Starting from 23 September 2026, Graduands can collect and return the hired gown at any of the four designated offices of TYG with prior arrangement. Please directly contact TYG at tel. 5166 3292 or via email at www.tyg.hk@gmail.com to make your own appointment. The locations and opening hours of the offices of TYG are listed in the next table.

The standard rental charge for UG gown is HK$90 / 60 days and HK$100 / 60 days for TPg gown for one set of gown.
The deposit of UG gown is HK$500 / gown and HK$600 / gown for TPg gown, which is refundable if the hired items are returned without any damage.
The overdue charge for late return of the gown is HK$90 / 7 days (for UG) or HK$100 / 7 days (for TPg).
- The purchase price of a UG gown is HK$500 / gown, and the price of a TPg gown is HK$650 / gown.

- A 24-hour graduation gown return booth will also be available for gown returns outside the Fo Tan and To Kwa Wan offices. Graduands using the 24-hour booth service will be required to do the registration and complete the registration form by themselves there. After the graduation gown is returned, deposit paid will be fully refunded (if no late charge or damages to the gown is confirmed) within 30 working days. - Besides, TYG will request Graduands to pay for the gowns that are damaged during the hiring period. Graduands are therefore reminded to check the gown carefully when collecting the hired items and take good care of the gowns they hire. Please do NOT throw your hired motarboard into the air for photo taking which might cause damages to the corners of the mortarboard. - You may authorize a representative to hire / purchase the academic gown on your behalf. Please download the Letter of Authorisation.

Please be reminded that the representative must present i) the signed original Letter of Authorisation, ii) his/her own original identity card, and iii) a photocopy of your identity card for verification. - Each Graduand will receive a Certificate Tube Holder as a graduation gift.
- You are reminded to bring the payment receipts and the confirmation email upon collection of the graduation items.

Personal Information Update for Graduation Documents
- Please ensure your Chinese and English names are accurate in THEi’s record as they will be printed on your award academic transcript and certificate.
- In case any amendment to your personal particulars is necessary, please notify the Registry at tel. 3890 8000 or via email: thei-reg@thei.edu.hk no later than 15 September 2026 (Tuesday).
THEiCONIC
Graduands may order the graduation mascot, THEiCONIC, together with its accessories. Details will be announced on this webpage: https://thei.edu.hk/thei-souvenirs/.
Pre-ordered items can be collected on the day of the ceremony at the Learning Commons, 1/F (Room S103). Payment must be made on-site via Octopus card.
