In Academic Year 2025/26, THEi offers a wide range of degree programmes that are applied science-oriented and developed with close industry collaboration, with many in niche areas.
Applied Science-Oriented Degree Programmes
THEi provides 22 applied science-oriented four-year degree programmes for S6 students to apply, including 10 programmes under the Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions/Sectors (SSSDP)[1] and 12 programmes under the Non-means-tested Subsidy Scheme for Self-financing Undergraduate Studies in Hong Kong (NMTSS)[2]. The annual subsidy amounts for SSSDP range from HK$46,780 to HK$89,620 in AY2025/26 while the amount for NMTSS is HK$34,390 in AY2024/25 (subsidy amount for AY2025/26 is subject to the Education Bureau’s announcement). The subsidy is tenable for the normal study period of the designated programmes. Eligible students will pay a tuition fee after the deduction of the relevant subsidy.

- The programmes are under the Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions / Sectors (SSSDP) in AY2025/26. The subsidised places in these programmes are allocated mainly through the Joint University Programmes Admissions System (JUPAS), the non-JUPAS local applicants can also be admitted via direct admission of no more than 20% of the subsidised places of each designated programme. THEi reserves the right to cancel any programme, revise programme content or change the offering institute(s) / campus(es) / class venue(s) if circumstances so warrant.

5 The foundational science parts of the programme are taught in English, while the core parts in traditional Chinese medicine are taught in Cantonese (with explanations in Mandarin). Some general core and elective modules may be taught in English or entirely in English.
