Bad Weather Arrangement

Typhoon & Black Rainstorm Arrangements

If the Hong Kong Observatory has issued a Pre-No.8 (Typhoon Signal No.8) Special Announcement during the opening hours of the Learning Commons, the Commons will be closed two hours after the announcement.
If Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted during opening hours of the Learning Commons, the Commons will remain open.
If Typhoon Signal No. 8 or Black Rainstorm Warning is lowered within the opening hours of the Learning Commons, the following arrangements will take place immediately:

Time of Issuing/Cancelling
Mondays to Fridays 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Issued before opening hours	Remain closed
Issued when Library is open	Close once Signal no. 8 is in force.
Cancelled on or before 4:00 pm	Resume services 2 hours after the announcement of lowering Signal no. 8
Cancelled on or after 4:01 pm	Remain closed

Black Rainstorm Warning

Time of Issuing/Cancelling
Mondays to Fridays 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Issued before opening hours	Remain closed
Issued when Library is open	Close once Signal no. 8 is in force.
Cancelled on or before 4:00 pm	Resume services 2 hours after the announcement of lowering Signal no. 8
Cancelled on or after 4:01 pm	Remain closed
